Chain jammed

i just recently bought a new
Haibike sDuro Trekking 5.0 2017

I have only used the brakes on my right hand. Today I started using the brakes on the left hand. After 5 min use the chain jammed by the pedals. Any advice. I recon the shop will fix this in one minute and give me the advice to use all the brakes all the time.

I have no mechanic knowledge whatsoever and guess this has happened to many other people here

I had copied the name of my bike and just didn't change the font.Will make sure to have same regular font in the future. Thanks for the welcome

Left lever works front wheel, right rear wheel. Front will have more stopping power. Be careful on how much pressure you squeeze lever .One or 2 fingers is all I use on hydraulic brakes . Not sure I understand chain issue. Your shop will help you with this.

Hi Carl, it seems that the Haibike sDuro Trekking 5.0 2017 has a front and rear derailleur.

I am thinking that you're from Scandinavia and maybe you meant to say the left shifter control when you wrote "left brake"?

Yes, that is just a mechanical adjustment and if the shop does it right, it will not happen again.

Will tanke it into the shop. I really Love the bike. Beeing a diabetic type 1, excercise is important. The Haibile is so much fun and does wonders to the blood sugar levels
