Can't Lock Battery Onto Bike

Greetings~ I have an Aventon Level 2 and from time to time, and definitely now, I can't lock the battery into the bike (and therefore can't use the bike). Any suggestions for fixing this?

Maybe the judicious use of zip ties.

The battery has to lock in to power the bike. I am thinking zip ties won't do it- but I may end up having to try that!

I don't know how the Aventon works, but when you use a pin that slides into a hole, it has to be aligned right. Some of my batteries have taken some wiggling to line up, Unless something broke in the lockm it should eventually work?

Is it a key?
A lot of locks rely on a spring to engage, not the key actually turning the mechanism.
I've had to regrease mine twice for same problem

It does require a key to lock the battery into place.

You could upload a picture of the locking mechanisme and the battery with the slot where the lock should grip. Than people could form a picture in their head to create a solution

Agree. There's a 2MB limit on image file size.
