Can someone check the serial number on 2018+ Enviolo N380 for me?

It is a well-known fact, that the gearing on the HS vario models is too short to comfortably reach 45 kph (28mph).
I test-rode a 2018 supercharger HS, and at 35 kph, I was spinning around 68 rpm.

Stock gearing on the supercharger is 24-26.
Biggest gearing (according to the gates site) is 28-24.
This would put that same 68 rpm at 44 kph (instead of 35).

Still, would like to gear up more (the part of Belgium I live in is as flat as the Netherlands).
So no hills to take into account.
Gates have an unlisted cog for the enviolo, at 22T. This would put my 68 rpm at 48 kph.

The only way to be able to fit this, is if the N380 has a serial number starting with 808 or higher.
These are enviolo's manufactured after august 2018.
Could someone with a very recent R&M check if this is the case?

I have a 2019 R&M supercharger HS .
It started with 80 rpm @ 45 kph. Which is fine for me!

After a broken kabel (coincidence?) this became much much higher; 105rpm @ 45 kph.

According to Enviolo a common problem.
They replaced it (the whole device) and now it's spinning at 100rpm @ 45 kph.

This replacement does not have a sticker with a serial number.

It's %#$%$ the weak part of my R&M. I wish i had paid more for a Rohloff.

It sounds like the the hub is not in full overdrive mode.

To make sure it is:
-move the grip slightly, about 10º below full high speed.
-detach the shift adapter and bullet nut on the hub
-take out the rear wheel
-unscrew the nut with a 17mm spanner and remove the plastic shift adapter
-put the spindle in a vice and spin the wheel slowly while turning the nut (using the adapter) towards H until it comes to a full stop. Repeat this a few times.
-make sure the plastic adapter is slightly before fully engaged
-reinstall the adapter and secure the nut - not too tight
-reinstall the wheel

But, to really benefit from the entire range of the hub, the Harmony electronic interface and shifter works like a charm.
It is not too much work to install it, about an hour, features about 20% more range than the plastic interface and offers the advantage of fully automatic shifting.

I installed the harmony on my Load after the cables snapped for the third time, a pattern of failure every 3500 km.
It cost me 350€ for the interface, cables, shifter, encoder and shift ring.
I'm very happy with it and have been riding 10000km without issues.
It should come standard on R&M Vario bikes. (it actually was, but apparently, there were a lot of problems with the first version of the Harmony)

@actaswu

You were right about that.

I brought my bike to the dutch R&M importer. 10 minutes work and it was fixed. 😒

My small town bike shop replaced the whole device... a waste of time and effort .

The new harmony sounds ok. But I think I will stick to the manual one and replace the cables with each servicing as the preventive approach.

I'll keep the harmony in mind if the cables keep braking.

yet again a broken cable, fixed by the R&M importer.
Still at 105rpm @ 45 kph.

According to the importer is't due to wear and tear.
