Another in the high performance Bulls Ebikes, the Outlaw E45 is built around a comfortable, hybrid style frame that can fit different size riders but with a more sporty appearance. I like the sleek, frame mounted 48V battery that slides in from the side and has a nicely hidden magnetic connection at the charger port. The combination torque/cadence sensor that's integrated in the bottom bracket gives this bike a smooth feeling acceleration and the console has an interactive display that shows the interplay of the rider's power and the hub motor for a more realistic sense of the power use. Both the rear hub motor and front wheel have thru axles for easy flat fixing, a real plus! Look closely at the fin next to the rear disc rotor, this is Bulls' answer to the overheating issue that's common with many geared hub motors. It's a speed pedelec, 45km/hr (28mph) and a formidable 80 Nm of torque; a hill climbing beast, albeit a bit noisy.
https://electricbikereview.com/bulls/... The Bulls Outlaw E45 is a sporty looking, fairly comfortable speed pedelec capable of ~28 mph top speeds, it's running on an optimized geared hub motor design with heat pipe technology for maximum performance. Unique mid-mount battery box fills the main frame triangle keeping weight low and centered while allowing the top tube to slope down aggressively for easier mounting and stand-over, bike comes in three sizes. Premium components including a Shimano SLX ten speed drivetrain, 203 mm Tektro hydraulic disc brakes, Schwalbe Super Moto-X tires, Ergon GA1 Evo locking grips, Rock Shox Revalation air fork. Heavier due to battery capacity, stand-out design due to battery box and chainring, louder operation due to upgraded hub and geared motor, hardly any mounting points for bottles or racks, no lights.
