Bugatti claims the X PG is the lightest ebike in the world

It's quite sleek looking and can't even tell it's an ebike.
It weighs 8.4kg (18.51 lbs) which is feather light for an ebike and gets 55km (34 miles) range.

Starting at 65,000 Euro ($73,345 US @ today's rate) and 130,000 Euro ($146,691 US) if you want a top spec model.

Limited production, only 667 units will be built.

The bike was first appeared in 2017 Eurobike

With the rise of these exotic ebikes (Bugatti, Lamborghini, Maserati etc.) your going to have to make another review classification as:

"Unaffordable Ebikes"

Curious why for that price, even *ONE* cable remains exposed / not routed internally!
And will be curious how the bike stops -- with nothing visible that looks like a braking system...?
If I ordered one, I'd sure as heck want the vintage standing-elephant hood ornament, in sterling, from the Bugattis of yore...!

The single brake is tucked behind the fork and headstock for aerodynamic efficiency

It does have a motor and battery, it's well integrated. It gets 55km (34 miles) range .

So there will be 667 ignorant rich people who will buy a bike that likely is slower than any class 3 bike available, 'cause I'm betting it will have a restricted motor.

According to this webpage I don't think it is an ebike:

There is no mention of an e assist system that I can see and in fact it seems to just be a less than 5kg "Hip gear" bike. Perhaps the 34 mile range is the most that someone would be willing to ride it in one shot?

However the PG brand has been known to produce the world's most expensive eBikes for years as per this article from 2012:

An interesting side note to this article is that Black Tail bike has the first version of the Clean Mobile motor which in it's latest itineration powers the upcoming Haibike Flyon.

Did you see the video? It has a very small mid drive motor.

No, I didn't watch the video but i just did and in the video showing the same bike they say 8.4kg whereas in the link above they say under 5kg so kind of odd they don't make mention of it being e assist.

If my budget for an ebike was US $73,345 I think I would spend up to max. 10.000 on the bike ( incl. all extras for nice touring) and the rest on decent hotelrooms and food during ebike excursion in various parts of the world.

The funny thing -- its hard to see anything "worth" that much on this bike... So presumably it is a 'high design' and brand-name premium only -- and how many average folks out on the trails would even know "Bugatti" to be impressed? ; ) It is easier to see these bikes being purchased by Bugatti car owners, and stored in the same garage as an art installation

I think they've already reduced the cost of the bike down to $39,000 USD for the lowest price version. The car starts at $1.7 million, but that's for the stripped down economy model. Not sure if you get a radio at that price. Replacement tires are a bargain at only $20,000 for a set.

I stand corrected, $20,000 is what it costs to change the oil. Apparently the tires and rims cost $100,000 for the set. The seller below has them. A little pricey, but he does offer free shipping.

The big deal about the cars is yes you do get a radio, AC, electric everything in a supercar with blistering speed that still drives like a normal sedan. That's very different than any other supercar, where they're stripped of every refinement for weight savings and you wouldn't want to drive them to dinner. A Bugatti is a beast, but driveable. I don't know how that's transferrable to the ebike concept. A vanity bike for the vanity car owner. A motorcycle would fit the bill much better. 'But those are dangerous'
