Brompton Electric Issue

Just purchased my electric brompton this morning and from the first ride I already have battery issues. The battery goes off without reason and does not want to turn on anymore or sporadically. I don't know what to do and the reseller tells me that they have that problem with other customers as well but donno what to do. They say there's a new software update that could solve the issue but they never did it before. So tomorrow or they get it solved or I will ask my money back!

I had one of the first ones in the UK and had the same problems as you. It went back to the factory and (allegedly) had a new motor and controller fitted.... it was even worse so I got my money back.
I waited over six months an thought I’d have another go as I missed the portability of the Brompton. It was marginally better but I had similar problems but they were less often.... I persevered but having had full power coming on, unexpectedly, when there was some loose gravel at the side of the road and I ended up coming off, I stopped using it. I eventually sold it for not much less than I paid for it as Bromptons are pretty well unavailable in the UK. The guy who bought it put it on eBay for £3100 when cost new, twelve months earlier, was about £2700!!
