I've wasted an hour Searching and am hoping the brain trust here has some ideas. Is there a motion-activated rear brake light worth its price?

Yes. Several available. Most have some kind of rudimentary accelerometer that sense the bike slowing down and turns on a solid bright brake light. Price usually around $40+. I thought I saw Garmin branded rear lights with brake light fixture and GPS functionality but the >$100 price tag and questionable safety benefits made me dismiss it. In actuality, I think brake lights on bicycles are of questionable good. But I'm all for bright rear flashing lights.

Years ago...as in decades...I had a brake light that was activated by a pressure switch that was connected to the brake cable on the brake caliper.

I have a few of these and they function very well with motion and braking, but I like brighter strobes. YMMV ;)

Thank you. Personally I use a very bright rear LED, Roxim.

This was a search for a customer wanting to not add switch’s or wiring.
