Ok so I was very happy with my bosch cx, and then I had the opportunity to get my hands into a new 180mm travel fox " sweet cream" supension and wow! What a difference. But when I took her pedaling, I noticed a HUGE difference in the amount of input I have to give the motor in order to get the desired torque. For example I was able to climb to the top with my old motor with the ECO mode only. With the new one I have to go with tour or eMTB.. The bikes are the same brand and branch. So there's no difference in there, also cranks are the same so no real hardware difference.
Only thing I noticed was, when I try to backpedal in the Old one, it goes off without almost any resistance whatsoever, but the new one oh myy.. With the new one, I have to push a lot in order to move the pedal backwards. I can even put a 2.5kg bottle of water on top of it, and the pedal would stay put...
So, what's going on here? Are the motors geared up differently? Is the new one going bad?
BTW they are both used bike, so they're not under warranty anymore.
