After thinking about it ...if you put a 29 on the front you are messing with the frame geometry...so it might not be an improvement. I do like 29er bikes though. That is clearly a one direction chainring. I wonder why they use that design?
That chain ring is directional and spec for Eagle 12 and Sram chain only. The version that I use on my R&M Delight Mountain is not directional more generic and can be used with any chain, up to 12X RNG-00188

Correct it well have a small effect on geometry, probley the same as fitting a 10mm longer fork, well slacken the head angle a little which i want , i run the flip chip in slack position too.
I have done about a hour's riding this evening and really like it, more than I thought...not sure if its the sticky assegai tyre or the 29'er but its staying up the front there for a while anyway.

Thanks for the info, these X-Sync ones do look good quality, be interesting to see if it lasts any longer for me.
What year Delight Mountain do you have? the 2020 model is a slick looking machine

My Delight Mountain is a 2018. Truth be told I ride it on road quite a bit. It is great on logging and fire roads in the mountains. The suspension has less travel than a full-bore downhill mountain bike. It has a Bosch CX motor that has been derestricted with a Bikespeed RS, Fox suspension upgrade, dual battery and a Nyon display.
