BoeShield Chain Lube - Working !

Cleaned my chains and applied Boeshield Chain lube about 500 miles ago on my Stromer Elite, and about 300 miles ago on my Mercier single speed (goal is to transition out of EBikes this year).



Chains are still shiny and gunk free.. The only maintenance I've done is to mist the chain with water when I wash/wax the bikes.

Compared to using white lithium grease every few weeks and accumulating grit, this Boeshield has made biking grease free on my legs and pants...lol

Thanks for sharing. What are you riding conditions? Dry roads? Wet roads? Off-road? Sand and grit? etc.

Will be interesting to see how your chain wear goes and how the lube performs over time.

Well I'm in South Florida and get caught in the rain quite a bit, ride mostly on bike paths and dirt so there's some grit being kicked up.. What impressed me was the lack of grit buildup on the chain and freewheel.

Only thing that I forgot to mention was that the BoeShield is a light lube, and needs to be reapplied if the chain gets very wet.. And that means a quick wipe and reapplication, then let it dry for 2 hours. Done that once in 2 months for each bike.

I've used DuPont Chain-Saver on my motorcycles for years and the chains last a long time, so I decided to use it also on my Izip Dash. It's a waxed based chain lube with Teflon. It really does keep the chain clean longer. And it's easy to buy because Walmart sells it in their auto section.

DuPont looks good.. A Teflon lube...
