Is there any chance to get that diagnostic tool for free? I don't have a company, and you can't get that program from Bosch without an official company. Is it possible to get the program through something else?

If you have a Bosch-certified dealer near you, you shouldn't need the tool.

For a reasonable fee (usually), you can have the full report printed out for you. Depending on your engine version, there are a few options that can be changed for you as well in software. As an example, I requested manual control over lights instead of 'always on' while the bike was powered on. The entire process (report + configuration change) only took minutes.

On my Bosch-powered Trek bike, the folks at the store I bought it from asked me if I wanted to switch the lights to manual rather than always on. I did; but it didn’t occur to me at the time to ask what other options might be available to change. (Nor did I know you could get a printout of a report).

not much walk mode could be turned off and on but why? the light voltage can be changed from 6v to 12v. wheel size thats most of them. depending the motor some of the modes can be changed.
