bike that has: 8 speed internal rear hub, Gates belt drive, mid motor, long range, comfortable!

Kalkhoff Image Advance B8 might or might not be available in diamond frame with a Gates belt, the trouble is the specs appear to differ on the Kalkhoff site from what’s listed on Propel bikes shop website eg Kalkhoff list the Bosch performance drive, but Propel list the Bosch Active Plus and most of the publicity photos appear to show the Active Plus motor. The diamond frame publicity shots on both sites show a steel chain but Kalkhoff list the Gates belt on the spec sheet. One of the publicity shots of a diamond frame on Propels site appears to show a derailleur but Kalkhoff list the Shimano Nexus 8 IGH. Very confusing for what should be a premium product. You could check with Chris at Propel what precisely he is getting in. Kalkhoff spec sheet suggest the Bosch 500 Powertube battery might get up to 90 mile/144km presumably in eco on flat land.

If you can do without the Gates belt, the previous 2017 model Gazelle Arroyo has a fully enclosed chaincase which should keep the chain clean, and a Nexus 8 IGH. This year’s model for the US dropped the diamond frame and uses the more powerful Bosch performance line motor. Urkai are still selling the older model diamond frame that uses the previous generation Bosch Active Line motor. I test rode this bike last year and it felt powerful enough going up hills.

Yup. I was thinking the same thing as Dewey, but didn't post because of your requirement for the belt. I have a 2017 Arroyo step thru, and it has the Bosch Performance line motor and Shimano 8 speed internal geared hub and the fully enclosed chain case. I love it ... it is a dream to ride, has great power and range and I really like the internal geared hub (no more problems forgetting to downshift before a stop). I am not sure when Gazelle swapped the Bosch Active line for the Performance line, but mine is a 2017 with the Performance line. Again, mine is a step thru, so I don't know if the 2017 diamond frames were configured the same way. I bought it from my LBS in March 2018 at a "closeout" sale price that was $1000 below list at $2499. My LBS had 2 of them in stock at this price and they sold out the first week they advertised them. I don't know if it is still possible to find a 2017 Arroyo any more, but if it is, take a look. It is a great eBike.

if you can get over the price , looks like a nice bike .

I read that for 2019 Shimano is coming with auto shifting belt drive IGH .
