Here are a few photos from my bike. It takes about 10-15 minutes to remove or install the cargo crate. It is held securely with metal plates and a kayak cargo strap.

My way. Semi permanent mount. Rarely if ever take them off.

The mods I did to the bike are probably not recommended by the manufacturer. When I take the crate off, it works fine carrying a pax. But it probably goes above max payload depending on the weight of the pax. I installed BMX pegs for footrests. That works excellent keeping feet above the derailer cage. I purchased the pax seat from Amazon. It looks and works like it was made for the bike. We love cruising around the local area doubled up. I keep a close watch on the back rim and spokes. Working without problem so far.The motor/gears have lots of power. The backstays and cargo rack on this bike are built very beefy. I highly recommend the AMS chainstay protectors. They are made in Spain. Easy to install. You can zoom in to see the application. I put leftover on the seat post. The chainstay protector that came with the bike was not very good. So I am very happy with my light electric utility machine.

A further post on the modification I made to the rear lights. My Rize Ebike did not come with brake lights. I found these usb charged lights are a good choice. They include an accelerometer inside that turns the chosen blink light pattern to a steady brighter steady light. Searching for mounts NR is a good source. Reasonable prices and shipping. I highly recommend Night Rider lights and products. These have various adjustment positions that hold my lights securely to the rear rack. You can also see better the AMS Chain Stay Protector. They are a little pricey , but they are made in Spain and protect the rear stays from the chain and feet riding as passengers. Very satisfied at the look and the ease to install perfectly
