I was looking at the Aventon bikes a couple years ago but am glad I waited because I would rather have a more powerful e bike along with my regular pedal bike. I want decent range, weight not terrible,1 motor only,
GOOD quality-no nameless bikes, and a price around 1500 max. I am not paying 2000 for the Aventon 3 but I like the specs on it( https://www.aventon.com/products/aventure-3-ebike?variant=44285587030211..what should I get? I want the bigger tires than most of the commuter bikes have but I want the pedaling to actually do something also..

This is just from a few months ago, see below. Also, regarding fatties, you might want to look at 20” tires as they are popular now, and all the vendors I mentioned in that thread have versions of 20” bikes.

the Aventon 2 doesn't look much different from the 3....but its 500$ more...whats up with that?
Looks like electronics upgrade plus suspension seat post. Also, obviously, different frame but I don’t know if that’s a plus or minus for you.

The Aventure 2 certainly has a lot of riders/followers. I’ve heard very few (if any) negatives about it.

looks like made in the same factory? is the 20 inch tires on the Aventon 2...? Do I need those? I want to pedal this bike sometimes so......?Another thing...the world economy is heading south
by December. Prices in January will be lower or they won't sell bikes. so they should offer the discounts now ...or I am not buying..

You can live in the future with specious and unreliable predictions, or you can get a bike now and get riding. I know which I’d choose.

You're over thinking this. Go simple and save some serious money with a closeout Rad Power Rad Expand, for $1000 shipped to your door. Yes, 20" wheels, but a heck of a bargain. Lectric has some good bundle deals as well going on right now. Or wait and hope for a deal around the upcoming holidays. I ride almost everyday so I made my choice awhile ago.

Rad’s also having a weekend sale this weekend on the RadRover 6+ (26” wheels).
