Belt drive with mid mount motor

I have a L-train, gates belt, 7 speed igh , looking to install a mid motor with a 500 or 750w, I realize I need to upgrade to a cdx belt and sprocket , looking for suggestions to brand to use, prefer a PAS (old guy), currently I have a 52v17a batter to use.

What motor? The only mid-drive after-market that will work with Gates five-bolt 130 BCD offering is the Bafang. It is not torque sensing. If one of their offerings were five-bolt 110BCD then you would have other options.

Thanks for the reply, I also have a older bike that has a 750w tongsheng mid drive with torque sensor but with my old 74 year old legs it’s rather difficult to go any distance, so I was thinking of using a mid drive that has a PAS so I can go longer distance on my gates belt drive 7speed igh . Trying to decide what brand of mid drive that might work best.

I do not normally make this suggestion. Go for the Bafang. It has no pedal feel. You can use the 130BCD Ring Veer Split Belt provided you have a standard sealed hub of gears.

Correction. There is a 110 to 130 spider so the TS could be used. Look at the thread on cool IHG options. There is one for cargo bikes that can take high power from a BBS02 that it 52V.

Can you use spacers/washers with the spider to manipulate the offset and maintain the chain line?

These belt-drive spiders are very thin. Any offset is negligible. Spacers could be used but I think the key is to keep the motor in, so use a 68BB shell frame and a narrow motor.
