As stated in my other thread... How can a company be in business for 10+ years and still not realize that basic specs and more importantly INSTRUCTIONS! should be readily accessible... smh...

Their business model appparently works for shipping a million motors annually. This includes no spare parts for distributors, unannounced circuit board changes. features disappearing, etc. They do put out nice prints for their hub motor dimensions,

I especially appreciate the effort to photoshop auras and lighting bolts around products on the sales pages. Seems advertising to the childlike is more important than information

I have always found it strange how with most of the eBikes I've purchased I haven't even received the most basic information. For example when I purchased my $6000+ Wattwagon Commuter Pro aside from the bike not being properly assembled I never receiver one piece of paper let alone any tools. Some companies like Haibike are excellent. Prudent searching can usually get you instructions for individual components.

One of my other hobbies is collecting watches, mostly Casio vintage watches, and I can download manuals on just about any watch I've purchased. I'm always amazed, Casio and other manufacturers maintain sites where a manual for every watch they've ever made is available. Even an eighties $10 calculator watch.

Not that much has probably changed... But I find it rediculous that it's not readily available.

I've found manuals for products produced by companies that are out of business 20 years.

Good for you and your company, everyone should do this. I don't understand the reluctance to provide information. I purchased two BH Bikes last year and never received a peace of paper or a tool with either bike and that's from the largest producer of bikes in the world.

Shift sensor is a Higo connector. And can be used in the shifter cable. There’s so many posts from builders that some simple searches can find issues and alternative solutions. How does wiring of shift sensor add to the usefulness? I wish they had never added the headlight feature it’s weak at best.

I'm pretty sure I understand how it all works and goes together.. But being a bit of a nerd and with time on my hands while I wait for delivery I figured I would do some more reading. The only thing I'd really like to have the manual for is specifications and torque values.
Don't think I'll be using a shift sensor... and probably not the throttle either though I may install it at first just to check it out.
I realize the safety reason for the break lever motor cut off... But honestly I don't think I've ever pedal'd while breaking.

I'm speaking as someone who has never used one... But, yes they are definitely being installed.
It's usually the situations that you don't think of that get you.
