BBS02B 500W vs 750W

Is there any physical/hardware difference between 500w, 18A and 750w, 25A BBS02B motors?
I am wondering if the 500w spec could or should ever be run up to 25A?

Thanks for the reply Gionnirock.
I am having some back and forth with Biktrix in regards to the BBS02s that are in their current bikes and was given this info.:
Bafang Model Number - G340
Rated Nominal Power Output on underside of motor - 750W
Peak Power Output - 1040W
Max Amperage - 20A
Max Torque - 120 Nm

I have seen other 750w stamped BBS02 motors listed as 25 amp, would the above motor's 20A rating be due to a controller or programming difference?

That's hard to say without connecting the controller to a pc to see.... and that's assuming it's a UART protocol motor and not CANBUS.
Bafang makes changes and no information is supplied and "supposedly" Biktrix uses custom firmware in some motors.
Not sure of your intended use but my BBS02B circa 2020 is has a 25a controller and I reduced global peak down to 20a and it's more than adequate when used as an exercise bike and at just 220lbs rider and bike.
