You have alternatives to the OEM batteries. Several god shops can build better for less.For my bike, a Specialized Vado, the only replacement battery I find is the 604Wh.
$900. Not cheap.
But as my battery is new I shouldn’t really need one for 2 or 3 years so who knows, maybe prices are down by then.
I wanted to upgrade from 504Wh to 604Wh when I bought the bike but was told it was not possible.
But I agree, not everyone can peel off $500 at will. No issues here, but lots of the working class stiffs (the fellas we’d rather not see in oil burning cages) struggle buying mileage 4 years in advance.
Two charity jobs this month. A good use of dusty parts. Help a fella get to work.
