I have in installed the "quite gears" in my Bafang M620 Canbus motor.

Now I need to re-calibrate the motor controller.

From what I have seen, I need the Besst module and associated app.to do the calibration.

But I keep seeing online that to use the app., I need to get an access code from Bafang.

However, it looks like Bafang will not give out an access code unless you are a dealer with a business and business license.

Anyone that is not a dealer been able to calibrate an M620 Canbus motor?

Thanks

Why would the calibration be necessary if you just swapped out the gears? If you swap out the controller on an M620 then you need to calibrate it? Too bad you just didn't apply John Deere Cornhead grease instead as it does an excellent job of quieting down the M620 for way less money.......

The primary gear is permanently attached to the rotor and the rotor needs to be synchronized with the controller.

green bike kit have a canbus calibration tool. It doesn't appear to be sold separately on their website but its an option when buying a new rotor. Perhaps email them and ask.

OK so it seems like the same people are just talking here so I have nothing other to add to the conversation than for existing and future M620 owners seeking a quieter existence how happy I am with the motors I have re-greased and there is no need for the expense and calibration hassle that I can discern of the "quiet" gears nor would I recommend them to anyone. I'm out!

I'm with you.... I have no interest in going down the path of changing gears.
Well... only on the Rohloff that is!
