I am new to ebiking and thought I would ask the experts on what they think about this. The ebike I have is a Surface 604 Rook from a couple years ago. I was getting an error 30 on the screen one day. Looking up this code, it says it is just a communication error. Non of the wires seemed to be disconnected or kinked. Taking the controller out and opening it up, I discovered what appeared to be a burned area. The components look ok from the outside. Any ideas what this could be or how to repair it?
