Bafang Bluetooth app

Hi spinning gears , Nobody here has sent me on the wrong path as my queries have been answered very clearly which is much appreciated.

I have pulled the main pedal shaft out of the motor and the main cause was a thrust bearing broke up but all the bearings and roller bearings are pretty grotty so i am going to replace the lot.

Having had a quick look i need to buy all of them individually which is a surprise as i thought a full kit would be easily available unless someone knows if its possible to buy full kit in the UK ?

Brighton ebikes MIGHT do, but probably not. fasterbikes.eu in germany definately do, other than that GBK.

Now lets tackle the matter in hand. The SW102 doesn't work with anything of note, it's part of the circle jerk of knowledge that proliferates these parts now, conflating SW102 and eggrider as the same thing. With an eggrider you are essentially paying for the app, which is locked to your device by custom firmware. The reason the some don't like it is that its a UK product and costs more to ship.

So now we've established that...... Bafang Go

Any ideas what app i need to use the bluetooth function if possible ?

Thanks
The correct answer here is to point out the above.
But no......

From what I understand it's not very useful and asks for more than what should be necessary permissions.
But here you go.... Bafang Go

From what I understand it's not ready for prime time.
I would put it on hold and see if 2025 brings any improvement

The Bafang Go app was released nearly 5 years ago to compliment the canbus ecosystem they were about to launch and ONLY works with canbus.

Really i CBA dealing with the rest, what has been established here is when il mundato says 'From what i understand' he is about to reveal how little he actually understands.

As you can see... some on here are only here to spin their own gears.

@MartsEbike is a Bafang'r and I believe is in the UK and orders from GBK.
Maybe he'll chime in on other options.

Wrong account, swap to your sock puppet.

Dunno if you realise but we all speak a certain way and when you use phrases very often it becomes a fingerprint - from what i understand.

I believe the OP has spoken.

A few facts...
Bafang Go app and Bluetooth displays have been available since 2017
Bafang Go+ app was released in 2022.. same as the CANbus controllers... But it's not CANbus exclusive.
I've owned an eggrider since 2020 and it sits in a box with <500 mi on it.
And still no one has ever said that the sw102 display functions as or is an eggrider

Do we have to dumb it down anymore? 🤔

Finally did some research, good on you. Growth that is.

Just curious about this schism though, did this occur after @smorgasbord pwned you? Cos that was fkin brutal.

If anyones curious just search a few keywords/phrases that both these use, also note the overlapping subjects and information imparted. Absolute coward.

Hi @m00ms ,

There are other sources but often they only deal with major components. GreenBikeKit is by far the most reliable motor parts supplier, especially for more minor items. The only downside is delivery times - usually a week to 10 days. Other than this eBay and Amazon may have the parts you need but it's more hit or miss, and you may find it's a Chinese seller using a UK platform so you still have to wait for delivery. :(

In for a penny, in for a pound.

I use GBK, fasterbikes, sometimes hollandbikes and ali. You want it quick, fasterbikes.eu

But hey, i'm also in the UK and also build so wtf would i know huh? I'll just get my alt to confirm.

I have ordered the bearings from a mix of places , the 16003 and 16004 bearings from simply bearings here in the UK and the roller and thrust bearings from Ali express, I'm in no hurry as I'm building this bike as I enjoy building bikes ( and unicycles ) so it's not an issue if its in bits for a few weeks.

Same here as far as Bafang goes.
California-ebike has some parts but I usually find them to be out of stock. GBK has been solid for me.

Sounds like you're all squared away... If you're feeliń it, maybe start a thread with the highlights of the process. I don't think there's anything on here with that content.

Me too... Building my BBS was my covid savior.

As I’ve pulled it apart already il take some photos of it in bits and going back together so I can do a post showing how I dealt with it.

Sure is enjoyable building as I enjoy the rounding up of parts , making something out of parts and the learning. My bafang kit was brought second hand, blown up and without a battery.

Here’s a couple of photos of my build.
