What is so funny is that a Lamborghini in Southern California will be doing 5 Mph on the 5, stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic behind a beat-up, smelly, gardener's truck. It is not any faster. Carmel is pricy too.

Yes, used to go to Carmel all the time when we lived in the Bay Area. The Carmel River Beach and adjoining bluff full of wildflowers are just exquisite. Ditto for nearby Point Lobos.

Now downtown's been ruined by Silicon Valley money.
