Bafang g510 help request

My Biktrix with a 1000W Bafang g510 48v motor is acting up as it will only move in thumb drive walk mode speed at any PAS setting.

BUT

In pedaling any gear, it initially kicked in pedal assist for less than one pedal revolution before kicking out. I stopped pedaling, then pedaling again, it would kick in for less than a revolution and kick out over and over.

Now only the "walk" speed works in any PAS setting.
Pedaling is hard as no power assist.

I have replaced the wheel magnet & speed sensor and display without help.

I have ordered a 1. C961 display to recalibrate it.
2. want to perform a diagnostic test with the motor cable connected to the computer using the Bafang app. I do not know how.

I suspect it is the motor controller. I would appreciate any advice or diagnostic help.

PLEASE HELP with any ideas as to the issues possible.

Is the motor CANbus or UART?
I'm assuming UART if you want to calibrate it using the C961 display.
I'm not aware of a diagnostic procedure using the Bafang app.
I believe that it is somewhat possible with the CANbus controller and the BESST tool but even that requires a log in and Bafang clearance and to this day I don't know of anyone that has been successful with that.
Off the cuff... it could be the controller, or even the torque sensor.
If UART you should be able to connect to a PC and using the programming software see if the torque sensor is out_putting
So back to question 1
