Besides I think she needs a windshield with blinking LED light strips around the edge of the plexiglass ... for visibility ,of course. .

Totally cool!
My mind is trying to run the movie of how to fold it. I "think" I have the movie right... I think...
There is no truth, and this isn't the thread to seek it, even if there was. My family doesn’t believe in letting the truth get in the way of a good story ... we are part Irish, after all .Because you know the truth.
When I first joined EBR, I wanted a folder to travel in my RV. RV is long gone but Bab's sports car is leased, so no permanent rack.View attachment 160486
AWESOME!
I'd do her!
But I'm curious as to why you wanted a folder?

And it would ride like a wet noodle ...I stared at that for 5 minutes before I figured it out and I Fricken Like It !!

Most folding bikes (at least every other one I've seen) have a pivot like this,..
View attachment 160496
The pivot and lock are in the same 2"X2" area.
There's way too much stress and the pivot either breaks, jams shut or open, or loosens up and your frame wobbles in the middle.
Art's bike pivots around a much longer, tighter axis, and locks to the frame about 4" away from the pivot making it WAY more stable, durable, and reliable.
To convert Art's folding mechanism to a similar design as the others I've seen, you would remove the entire metal triangle beside the water bottle then drill two holes through the seat post where it pivots and install two pins to lock the pivot.

Anything I drive daily isn't going to leave central Pennsylvania , because parts fall off on the highway. Embarrassing .
So a folder ... Babs meets the BMW trunk next week, maybe.
Yes, Dear ....Apropos in many ways
CLOSE. VERY CLOSE.So do I have this right?
You bought a non-powered folding bike that is being studied and set up at your local LBS, then you are going fold it up and deliver it to @PedalUma so he can electrify it for you using all his special magic?
Is your local LBS willing to work on the bike after it becomes a magical e-bike?
Funny to think either of my e-bikes fits my junk Renault Megane station wagon without folding or removing the front wheel of the bike or the bike rack installed. So a folder ... Babs meets the BMW trunk next week, maybe.
You're gonna be smoking Vados soonShe has already met PedalUma.
All cars are the wrong car, but the Beemer is an OK car. Unlike the old Beemer, it's only a 4 cylinder. They replaced 2 cylinders with a pair of turbos on the new model so it's still sorta quick.Funny to think either of my e-bikes fits my junk Renault Megane station wagon without folding or removing the front wheel of the bike or the bike rack installed.
Perhaps I own a wrong car

I meant the cargo space with the rear seats foldedAll cars are the wrong car, but the Beemer is an OK car. Unlike the old Beemer, it's only a 4 cylinder. They replaced 2 cylinders with a pair of turbos on the new model so it's still sorta quick.

Cargo space is an expensive option on a BMW.I meant the cargo space with the rear seats folded

When I was a member of guitar and bass forums, the most often used phrase was "Save up for something better"I toke during the day then find myself staring at pictures of bike frames for what seems like Hours !!
