Are We Condemned to Strava?

A photo of an UK e-bikers worst nightmare. :D Kissing Gates. Traditional cyclists create routes on Komoot and then carry bikes through these with ease.

Along comes me on a heavy e-bike and I'm stuck. o_O

These gates are often used in the British countryside and Komoot does not highlight them. I wish it would! :)

Im pretty well an expert at those, put your back pack on your chest, walk in on back wheel, hold with brake, pull gate towards you, let bike roll back, drop and then get through yourself
If you leave back pack on your back it will snag 32 times on average.
Getting your friend to help will result in quantam entaglement, chain falling off and pedals ripping your pockets open.

Martin, so assume you start the Komoot Route Planner, set it to "MTB (e-bike)", route from A to B, and the Komoot route leads through the gates?!
Unbelievable :) Perhaps it is because Komoot is a German app and perhaps the German do not know the specific of the British Isles?

Please do not rely on the routes created by other people. Make your own route and tell me what you have got, please :)

Yep, but not always. Thankfully people aren't that evil that they're purposely doing it! But you can be caught out. They're usually found wherever livestock graze. Any UK e-Biker will know about these things! :D

Yep, that's it! A technique I've had to master! :D But the small kissing gates are a bugger to get through with a big bike. 😬
