Anyone ever add bike regeneration to their Lectric XP?

Any one ever try to add regeneration on Letric Xp?

Wrong kind of motor. It's geared. When you coast the motor doesn't turn.

Seems to me that if you're on a ride where you don't need to brake, you might go farther letting the bike coast down hills, keeping your speed and using that kinetic energy, as opposed to letting regen slow the bike down and convert it back to battery. There's going to be inefficiency in that conversion.
