Another "WHAT BIKE FILLS MY NEEDS" Thread?

I'm about 3 years into a Parkinson's Disease diagnosis and while I'm in much better condition than many of my co-sufferers, it nevertheless has taken its toll on me physically. My current ride, a basic 26" mountain bike from DJI e-bikes, has been trouble free, mostly because I ride paved or improved roads and don't beat on it. A typical trip is about 20 miles of easy cruising. Unfortunately, balance has become an issue particularly when mounting and dismounting and while I've not yet had an incident, I can see--or feel-- one coming. Once in the saddle I'm fine. My feeling is a step through frame is the answer. Here's my wish list of what the ebike should have and nice to have. Domestic mail order and assembly aren't a problem for me. A name brand bike (Radpower, Aventon, etc.) is not a requirement. My budget is $2000 and is firm. There's a lot of bikes that fit my requirements but what I'm looking for is input from someone with experience (good or bad) with a particular ebike and its vendor. Thanks in advance and please know I really appreciate your help.

Should Have
Step through frame
750w 48v motor
Class III capable
front fork suspension
4" tires street capable
Integrated head and tail lights
Throttle, twist or thumb
hydraulic brakes
Name brand transmission that's above a Shimano Tourney grade. 7 speeds is sufficient
Front and Rear fenders

Nice to Have
52v, 1000w max motor
Rear suspension
Rear (or front) rack
Upgraded tires, i.e., flat and puncture protection
Foldable
Upgraded display
Battery integrated into frame

Funny you mention these specs. I recently purchased back my RadRunner, yet have a Juiced RipRacer on the way. It'll be the battle of the cheap-o ebikes! Now cheap-o seems harsh as I have nothing but good things to say about Rad Power quality. I just wanted better brakes and a bit more speed, can't have one without the other! Cheap-o refers to my sub-$2000 purchase point as well. As much as I love ebikes, and can afford something better, I tend to stay under the $2000 price point as well. If I really start pounding the miles on the RipRacer I may treat myself to something more upscale. I won't give up my throttle though, that stays.

But to fill your needs, Rad Power if your willing to give up the Class 3. I also have a RadMiniST in the family and it's been a little tank.

I also had a E-Lux Malibu GT. Great bike but stunk at commuting. I realized that I hate feet-forward ergonomics now that I'm older.

Others will obviously chime in and offer up many options.

Oh, and also had a BUZZ etrike. Purchased for my wife but she hated it. Sold it to a friend, who can ride a regular 2 wheel bike just fine, and he loves it. Has put many silly, trouble free miles on it.

Because of declining health and several falls, I'm kitting a nice heavy-duty trike.
No more 1000W rides. Too fast for my declining reaction time. 36V and 500W-700W is fast enough. For me.

Hey Joe!

thoughts or opinions on those fat bike tires? I hate my build.

You hate your build because it does, or does not have 4" tires? Or is there another reason?

And while here, another vote for 3 wheeler, in anticipation of future needs. Besides, the challenge of building a NICE one is interesting....

Before I forget, a coworker purchased a Lectric XP2.0. Just a bit over $1000 with comfort package. He's yet to ride it to work but I told him when he did let me know. I'll ride the Rad Mini ST in also. I already know I'll loose the speed race!

O.P. required fat tires. I don't want or need them. I'm at limit of range 840 wh battery with 2.1" tires at 55 psi. On uphill leg with groceries, anyway. Fat tires might be more comfortable on my ride. Might also dent the rim in the back with 80 lb ag supplies loaded back there. My next trip out I have to take spring grocery load, plus 40 lb of 6600 lb proof tow chain & hook. Still 31 F at night, I'm stuck in town.
