Alternate Crank set and pedals

Ok, take a loose pedal, hold it against the crank arm, and simulate pedalling forward...let me know when it tightens. I will not hold my breath awaiting your sucess.
No, YOU let me know when it loosens when pedaling forward :)... I won't hold my breath either, awaiting your success. There are BEARINGS in the pedal. When you were holding spindle with the wrench, you simulated failed bearings, I wrote this earlier.

Grease is cheap, no big deal. With the long journey in cargo ship from China the boxes get smashed (yes, they do). Grease would leak and make a mess.
Your small inner cardboard box, the one containing the tools, light etc & nestled basically inside the frame (IIRC) got smashed? I literally can't conceive of how that might happen without also destroying the bike frame itself.

In any case, it wasn't a big deal, was only tossing it off as an aside, and I wasn't being cheap by commenting on it, just observing how "overcomplete" they were about providing everything else, even screwdrivers, so it seemed strange. My biggest problem with it wasn't the cost but that it put my build on hold for a day or two til I found the time to get to my LBS; otherwise I would have been out riding the same day.
