Allant+ 9.9S (2020) + Nyon + Battery Frame Charge Port?

Hi all first post here - I've done a lot of reading and has been quite informative.

I recently upgraded my Allant with the Nyon display and the battery won't charge from the frame port. Has anyone else experienced this or did I accidentally disconnect something? My guess is that I disconnected the cable because the wiring diagram shows everything electrically joined together (i.e. no difference between plugging directly in from the battery's perspective.)

If this is a feature that isn't supported by the Nyon, I'd rather save the effort of dismantling the bike to check the wiring which is all completely hidden from view.

are you saying you cant charge the main battery from the built in port or you cant charge say your phone from the nyon port? if it is the phone then thats normal for some reason bosch does have it setup for enough juice to charge most things.

Your bike came with the smartphone hub? so I dont think you needed to change any wiring except the mount on the handlebar and swap remote over to the Nyon.

Even if you did replace the wires to the DU, they shouldnt have anything to do with the battery wiring... Sound like you may have disconnected one end of the powertube mounts if you moved stuff to pull the Nyons wire through?

The bike battery itself won't charge from the port integrated into the bike frame.
did you install the nyon yourself? all it takes is changing the mount so thats all the shop should have had to do if they did it. so it sounds like the plug wire is bad or it came disconnected. not something you can really do as the motor will need dropped.

Self install. There's a good chance I yanked out the frame port when I was snaking the old cable over the motor to remove it (I did this without dropping the motor). I'll probably wait to fix this until the next maintenance I need to do. Minor annoyance -- I just need to pop out the battery to charge and everything else seems to be working perfectly.

ok ya that could have happened. did your bike had a purion display?

I just saw your other post, I did this the extra hard way! Good to know that the cabling is compatible between the Smartphone Hub and Nyon and the only work needed is on the handlebars. I learned quite a bit about the bike during my disassembly/reassembly and learned exactly why the battery was falling out before the LBS adjusted the 'L bracket'.

I worked on this over the weekend and found that I had accidentally disconnected the frame charge port when I snaked the cable for the Nyon over the motor! I had to drop the motor to plug it back in...wasn't too bad, just 6 bolts. Now all systems go, except for some wonky derailleur behavior in 12th gear.

ya I was wondering what you were doing. but I am good doing things the hard way its a art form.

I find it a useful trick, when putting a new cable in over the top of the motor, to support the motor in place as you remove the motor bolts. Then hang it from cable ties, a few inches lower but still connected, while you are rerouting cable.
