Allant +7s or +8

Based on my experience with the local Trek store, I don't see where the after sale sale service and helpfulness could be any better elsewhere. They have a great crew and are just so responsive and excellent allies in keeping my bike running at top form.

I ride the Allant +9.9s which has both a higher price tag than the Gazelle but also way better components and a carbon fiber frame. That said I have not ridden either of the others.

As someone who routinely rides 600 or more miles a month, it is my strongly held belief that the people you buy from and their commitment to keeping your bike in top riding readiness is equally, if not more important than which particular bike you buy or even saving some money on the purchase. After all the dust settles, the best bike is the one that puts the biggest grin on your face and is always ready to ride, not in the shop.

Any thoughts on how Trek May compare to Cannondale Canvas Neo1 and Gazelle t10+?

All of them are similar bikes. As quality Cannondale and Gazelle is just as good as Trek (actually I think of Cannondale a bit more upscale than the other two).

Cannondale Canvas Neo would be my choice between those offerings(new model). Although Allant 8 comes with 625 instead of 500wh battery both are dual battery ready. Canvas Neo has a good advantage by having 29ers which is very rare for that segment. 29x2.35 g-ones will be slightly faster, easier to keep the speed and more fun to ride on the road(Cannondale also has a carbon fork, nice addition). My second choice would be Allant 8 third would be Gazelle.

A word on drivetrain speeds. I have one bike with slx 10 speed and 3 bikes with 11+ speed drivetrains including a high end Sram, a 2x Shimano road groupset and a new addition of an XTR Di2. I love the crispness of electronic shifting.
For trails 11+ speed drivetrains shine however I see absolutely no necessity or advantage of a 11+ drivetrain for an ebike that is going to be ridden on the road over the Shimano deore 10 speed system. Shimano did a great job by introducing 11-42 and now the 11-46 cassettes which make this already crisp shifting system very capable eliminating the need for any additional gears. Since maintenance and components of deore is cheaper it makes it a better choice for many.
