Adventure Ebiking - Death Valley

Our ebike meet-up group recently completed a 6 day tour of Death Valley by e-bike. It was amazing!
We were a small group and were blessed with excellent winter weather for the duration of the ride over New Years.

Death Valley by ebike is the perfect way to get around. We were Haibikes and iZIP ebikes on the ride and it was a blast.

2 of our riders were on Haibike SDURO models. Steven here was riding his iZIP PEAK hard tail which did just fine. Steven is in his 60s and brought with him his daily commuter that he uses to ride to work EVERY DAY from Marin to San Francisco across the Golden Gate Bridge. How's that for reliability and product satisfaction? He simply loaded up a couple extra batteries and his bike was ready for our 6 day Death Valley tour by ebike.

Steven is a happy ebiker and iZIP rider.

Nice article on about your trip. I was a member of your online group for a while, but I live in Southern California so I dropped out. I wish we had a group like yours in SoCal. I didn't realize you occasionally do longer trips. I'm on an ebike trip to Bryce and Zion later this year. I'm interested! I'll re-sign up. Thanks for the post and Happy New Year.

Hi Joe- I see you have chosen the Haibike Sduro for your ride. Did the bike perform well and any particular reason you picked that bike opposed to others you have available for your picking? Must of been loads of during this time of year for sure! Just curious.

Hi Bob- that was the ride we did 2 years and yes. It's a Cross 4.0. I haven't picked a bike for this year's ride just yet, but I am again considering a Cross from Haibike, Cube or one of our other brands. The Haibike Sduro worked flawlessly and performed well in the desert and in the sand. DV means riding on road and off-road a lot and so a cross feels ideal out there to me. Joe
