Addmotor's new mid drive 1000W split rear differential trike

Read it and weep boys... ;)

If Addmotor throws this upgraded motor, mid drive and split differential in to their dual rider Soletri/Herotri already boasting a heavy duty frame and front/rear suspension?

I can hear the crying already. ;)
Addmotor doesn’t have a “split” differential. It may be a limited “slip” differential, but they call it a “speed” differential, (whatever that is supposed to mean).

Addmotor doesn’t provide any information about their differential and none of these tricycles are even available yet.

Regardless, your Soletri doesn’t have a differential at all. Nothing to see here.

This is a proper groundbreaking trike

Kyle really knows His stuff, be easy to make a drifter out of something like this,I had a trike got rid of it within a week- however some People can simply ride these things, I do believe the Guys and Gals at Lectric have a good offering at a reasonable price.I used to try to ride the old Honda ATV would always tangle with a rear tire and either wreck or get pulled off,"Ackerman" would be proud.
If I was leaning toward a trike, I'd prefer the pair of wheels in front, with the driving wheel in back. I've seen in one of these threads such a beast, with the front wheels articulated--similar to the Piaggio MP3. But I don't know what the relative stability is in comparing these configurations. The recumbent trike is a whole 'nother critter.

Okay, I saw the video of the one with articulated wheels in front. That is the only trike configuration that makes sense. Its superiority to the others is so obvious to me.

DashRiprock must be a pro at trike riding. If you have experience with trikes (and he does) than all the power to him for wanting to go crazy fast on one. But it's still a normal style trike, just has go fast extras installed on it, so it will still handle like a trike. Of all the trikes my wife had the BUZZ 350watt mid-drive was the best. Fast enough on the top end, quick off the line if needed and overall pretty good quality. She no longer rides so we're currently trike free, both etrike and gas powered.
Do Harley type 3 wheelers have that kind of instability in maneuvering tight turns? I've had a sneaking hunch that the guys who ride those are afraid of two-wheelers, but maybe that's not fair.

i asked an owner once,he said he could hang with the other guys, not very specific so l say take it with a grain of salt.

A blast from my past, but this is the kinda trike I want:

Isn't this the cutest trike that you ever saw?

Addmotor's are nightmare trikes. One guy in town has spent so much money on his and it is still crap after several thousand. He is a big guy in a hilly town. It cannot make it up a hill or stop coming down a hill. Get one that is lightweight and has a rear differential. Don't worry about top speed. All trips in town are less than three miles each way. Range at three or four times that is really all you need, about 24 miles max. All Euro bikes top out at 15.3, which it way too fast for a trike.

thank you pedaluma that trike six three zero offers looks mighty enticing(if it just had 20 inch tires)

You'd probably get a thousand miles range if it were. The installed hub motor that comes with the trike is about 350w!
That guy is sight impaired, weighs 350 and lives in a hilly town. He cannot make it to his dentist's office. We are talking to him of the economics of throwing good money after bad and installing Magura four piston brakes. At least he could stop. He keeps asking, are there any high quality trikes. Another guy in town has MS and had a $50000 trike hand made for him in England.

I would have turned my trike over a couple of times if the seat was higher & rear wheels wasn't angled like a wheelchair. I can run 15-16mph on it, but perfer 7 or 8. It corners ok, but still a trike
