Adding a Light to Luna X1 and X2

I wanted to share my journey with you while I am trying to add a light to my Luna X2. I have chosen the MagicShine 902S with 3,000 Lumens. MagicShine MJ 902S
My goal is to install a light that will pull power from the main battery.
What I have started with is a XWST DC/DC Converter Regulator 36V 48V Step Down to 12V 4A 48W Reducer Buck Power Converter Waterproof Module Transformer to allow the 12v light to operate.
The next item is a XT60 to XT60 with pigtail XT30 connector which will plug inline at the M600 motor and provide the power for the light.
Wiring a fuse (3amp) will provide protection.
Still waiting for the light mounting hardware to arrive next week.
The 902S kit comes with an external battery and mounting hardware for use on a helmet or another bike.

Well after a few months I finally got the light installed. Had to reorder another harness but was able to get the relay installed which I thought was not going to happen due to the limited space in the downtube. Have to get out on a night ride to really test the setup but really happy with the results. So if you have a Luna X1 or X2 this would work. Fisher Fabrication House www.fisherfabhouse.com made the XT60 and XT30 adapter harness. You will need to contact Josh to order the custom adapter.

Yes a good writeup fishzilla because:
Lighting can go wrong. Ex;
"Unfortunately I only had ridden the stock/ludicrous controller about 20 miles before I shorted it ( read BURN ) to install a FisherFabhouse light with a tap off of the discharge."
 
So Mike_V makes a good point. My light wiring off the XT60 connector was a very thin 22awg wire to a XT30 connector. My wiring at the XT30 connector did eventually break. I 100% soldered all connections during the install. I ended up cutting the 22awg wire and installing a mini fuse to the light. The fuse sits in the middle of the X2 tube as you see in the picture. I also realized the step down converter was using battery power anytime the battery was on even if the light was off. My work around was to pull the fuse and only install it when I need light. Not a perfect solution but one that works for my use.
