thinking about adding a 1000watt battery with high ah,will this give me more power and torque and a new controller that's compatible with the battery? Any ideas??

1000wh, not watt. Without knowing what you are trying to power up it is hard to tell. For sure you should get more range though.

Depends on the amperage output comparison between the controllers. More torque? Probably not, but depends on what the motor will take before burning up. We also need to know if you are changing voltage from your old battery pack.

Hey Jim!
You can run a 52 volt with no issues..
My understanding is you gain a bit more speed like 4 mph,
not torque.
I added a 1000 watt front hub motor and a 20ah second battery...
This has doubled my torque,IMO.
I'm 6'3" and just over 300 lbs (for now anyway) and my bike pulls great! No issues with steep hills!
See you out there,
Cheers!

Thankyou for the imput,I think I will go that way!

Here’s a view from Grin simulator.
Not much difference at all with increased Ah, and less under 2MPH increase in speed with 10A increase.
