Add LCD to a bike that didn't come with one?

Is it possible to add a LCD to a slightly older 36v Step Through Cruiser - which didn't originally come with an LCD screen?

If so - would that enable Pedal Assist (PAS)?

Ok - so it is possible! What LCD is it they add? I'm not interested in paying someone $200 labor for some simple wiring I can do myself.
