i have same one. cord is a bit tight if folding the bike a lot but it works fine. draws battery down tho. if you’re a throttle-only rider keep that in mind.

Hi Rawlus!
I was able to pull out some extra wire... it was tight to pull. But there is some slack in there to use. I found about an inch or so.
Enough to keep it slack.
Cheers!

I just got my 14AH Samsung battery pack upgrade from Aliexpress/China this Friday. Paid around 370 for the battery + shipping and had to wait around a month for delivery.

So far from my limited testing the battery has better range/capacity and capable of providing a higher drawing amp current for a longer period of time because of the higher capacity. How much range I am not exactly sure yet, I think it should be at least extra 5-10 miles.

Now I can take my old battery (5k miles of throttle only use), actual 10.4AH XP battery...not the 9.6AH they are giving out now, and hopefully find a battery repair tech who can see if the battery pack is worth saving or not. I am pretty sure there is a group of dying cells in my old battery contributing to the packs' failure.

Jury is still out on this one, but I figure it's worth mentioning.

Extremely bright flashlight strapped to the front of the frame on the left side with Wrap-It stretch velcro straps.

I prefer having the headlight run off its own battery, and for it to double as a detachable flashlight. I also like having it where I can easily reach to adjust it.

There are about a zillion similar flashlights on Amazon, all in the $20 - $40 range. I chose this one mostly because it has a "motorcycle-style" lamp housing like the Rad light, high and low brightness modes, a side light, and a rectangular main body with a fully attached handle.

It was easy to attach with two straps, a bigger one to hold it firmly to the frame, plus a smaller one in the back for keeping it pointed mostly forward and down slightly. But it would clunk into the XP's built-in headlight during turns, so I relocated the built-in to a rack bag for now until I can find a better place to attach it (or jigger a way to mount it flush to the front fender).

This flashlight is seriously bright, about as bright as a car headlight in high mode. I tend to keep it in low mode and angled down both to better see what I'm about to run over and to avoid blinding motorists. High mode is useful for seeing far along bike trails at night. It's more of a spotlight than a wide-beam flashlight, but the focus/zoom can't be adjusted.

The side light is a nice feature. It has its own high-low-off button. It makes the bike much more visible from the left side, especially at dusk. The side light has a hold-to-activate secondary mode where it flashes blue and red LEDs, which might be useful during a breakdown.

I've used the flashlight for maybe 4 hours total so far, still on the initial charge, still just as bright. Longevity remains to be seen. Build quality is about what you'd expect for a $25 do-all gadget. It doesn't feel particularly rugged. So the jury is still out on if it is a worthwhile purchase. At the least, it seems like a good flashlight, and it will likely end up in the trunk of the car if it doesn't work out as a bike light.

The Wrap-It straps have been recommended by others on this forum, and I second the recommendations. They're strong, well-made, and reliable. I use one to strap my main bag to the rear rack, and it keeps the bag exactly where I put it.

I just got a customer note that the white-walled Vee Speedster tires are back in stock at Enki's online shop (where I bought mine a while ago), after a long international backorder wait. I have no affiliation with that particular storefront, but I recall they were tricky to source, so maybe that helps someone else. They offer lower rolling resistance, and look outstanding on a summer-duty white-framed XP:

My mods the front mud flap is a major player keeps water and salty snow hitting the battery area I did do a spendy seat post and is locked 🔒 stickers over LECTRIC don't want people knowing it's electric

Can you share the link?

Had my Lectric XP for a little over a month now. Just past the first 100 miles.

Having owned a "yellow/black" Sondors previously, I really liked that color combination. That is what gave me the idea to paint the wheels. I wanted to paint them yellow, but defaulted to a "blue."

Here is all the "stuff" I've added/changed.

Is it even a Lectric XP 1.0 anymore.

Is it worth having the controller exposed as opposed with going with Lectrics stock controller that is tucked safely in the downtube?
This controller is fully sealed and out in the airflow, it won’t overheat. It’s bigger than the stock controller so won’t fit in the downtube and is MUCH better the the stock controller—more power, better PAS, simpler wiring, color display, USB port on display, etc. 28 MPH on level ground throttle only!
