For now I only have the stock charger. At what voltage would be considered 50% in order to make a return trip and not go under the 20% threshold that everyone says not to do? At 20% what will the V read? I think I read that the V indicator is a better gage to go by then then the bar graph. I want to use this bike to the fullest but because of the batt cost I sure don't want to abuse it either. Thanks for any input.

Your new battery's nominal charge is 52 volts @ 19.2AH and 58 volts when fully charged @ 19.2AH giving you 920WH,

You will need a new charger to be able to charge it fully
58volts is your 100%
55volts is your 50%,
53.5volts is your 25%,
therefore my guess is 53volts be your 20% mark (i`m really bad with math)

14S Pack fully charged to 58.8 @ 47AH on my scooter gives me a range of 75 miles, keep in mind i do not use the pedals at all.
There is 3 of these plus 2 singles in my system hence 58.8v @ 47ah, these came from a decommissioned electric car,see picture below.

just my 2cents hope it helps

The lvc, low voltage cutoff, of the BMS on the two 52v batteries I have cuts out @ 42v.

I believe with the crosscurrentx you can set the min V for the cutoff. On that batt chart what does 13s/14s mean next to the Voltages on top of the chart. Thanks to all for your help. It gives me a guide on what to do.

13s and 14s refer to how many cells make up the battery. You have to wire cells in serial to get to the stated voltage -- 36, 48, 52, whatever -- and then combine those groups in parallel to get the desired amp hours. So a block of 13 18650 cells will produce 48 volts (nominally.) Put several of those blocks in parallel and you get, say, 17.4 amp hours. Plenty of info on Google if you want to know more.

You guys explain it so much better to be able to understand the issue. About the crosscurrentX I'm just getting started. As always thanks for the replies.
