Surely I'm not the only one with this issue. I developed a creaking noise on my 2020 Rail 9.7. Long story short I finally dropped the motor and found one of the bolts holding the motor mounting bracket in place had broken off and the other bolts were loose. After removing the broken bolt realized they do not have any locktite on them. I searched all over for information on these bolts and couldn't find any. Called Trek and they don't have any information on the either. I figured it out on my own that they are M5-18X16mm bolts and torqued to 11 Nm with locktite. For some reason Trek installed 5 star tamper proof bolt heads. Maybe this info will help someone else having this problem.
