Approximate 2014 model.
Everything worked fine when I parked it, but after sitting (Inside the house, in a bedroom that's used for storage) for about 2 years without being used, it now doesn't respond to the console or the +- commands. The display on the console actively shows when I adjust the levels of regen or assist, but the motor doesn't respond accordingly. I've read that the motor is supposed to automatically reset the assist to level 5 each time the battery is removed or turned off as well, but this also does not happen. It feels like it's stuck on an assist level of around 1 or 2.
However, I do know that the console is at least partially communicating with the motor, because it still displays my speed, and the odometer still works.
Any thoughts?
