35 amp controllers

I see several 35 amp controller upgrades for my radrunner 2. Are these controllers all from the same manufacturer and sold under a different name or are they different? The lcd's all look the same.

I don't know, but I guess they're the same. I got one for my Radrunner, which came with much less output power and torque than advertised. The 35 amp controller doubled both. I sometimes had trouble with moisture, due to the exposed position on the Radrunner, behind the front wheel and not far above the pavement. RTV solved the problem.

I bought a Radmission that was similarly underpowered. I guess Radpower means input electrical watts, while others mean output mechanical watts. A 35-watt controller would not have have fit where the OE controller was, so I bought a 25-amp controller. For my purposes, it was as good as the more powerful controller on my Radrunner.

You might have a 35A squarewave controller or sinewave. There are many flavors of a 35A controller. I like the KT controllers since they seem to have the most consistent settings and instructions. Compared to say, a BrainPower controller.

As Spokewrench mentions, the size of a 35 A controller is much larger than the 25A controller and you may have to relocate the controller. I have a Ride1Up 700 Series and like my controller in the frame and the 25A controller was a similar size to the existing 22A Lishui controller.

Hardest part of replacing the controller is connecting all the existing components. This is where stores like Area 13 are convenient. They have the controller all set up as a “plug and play” solution. They also charge a premium for that.

Mine were sold under different brands but had the same KT LCD8H display, so maybe both controllers came from the same factory as the display. The 35-amp was advertised for the Radrunner. I don't recall if the 25-amp mentioned the Radmission, or I just saw that it had the same connectors.
