2022 Vado SL 4.0 Dead

My sl 4.0 does not charge and does not turn on anymore, only has 700km on it. I had a service the other day at the LBS who sold it to me, when I picked it up I rode it about 20km then put on charge, took it off charge then it sat for 3 days and now won't turn on at all, no display, no lights, nothing. When I plug the charger in the light on the charger stays green so doesn't even recognise it's plugged in to the bike.

Does anyone know if there's a fuse I could check? LBS is closed for two days and if it's a fuse I'll have a go myself.

Let the LBS sort the things. You have paid for an expensive and valuable warranty. It could be faulty wiring harness for example.

Took the display off the top of the frame, found some water in the frame from I guess when the LBS washed it. I'm surprised there's no rubber seal around the frame to try and keep water out.

Anyway unplugged things and replugged things and now the bike turns on but won't turn off. I hit the button and it turns off for a few seconds then turns on again. So I've managed to reverse my problem.

Might sell the bike, not interested in issues this early on it's obviously not a very robust product.

FWIW, the bike is plenty robust. The LBS was probably not careful. They should fix it. Free.

My Vado SL has 7,732 km on its odometer in 15 months. I was riding it under the most unfavourable conditions: long gravel group rides, raining, heavy Polish winter and so on. No single issue. Your steed will be fixed!

Seems crazy to me that water got in to the frame. I've been caught out on a couple really rainy rides on my SL and no issues. I do dry it well after.

Try pressing and HOLDING the power button. I think there's also a reset by pressing and holding both buttons. But don't go blowing things before giving the shop a chance to address issues on a warrantied bike.

Got to the LBS today and they narrowed it down to the lights, they disconnected them which makes the problem go away. They asked me to drop it off this weekend as they'll need to work out where the wiring has the issue.

I can guarantee its a problem with the electronic mode selector on the handlebar. Im a mechanic and have had 2 sl's including mine do the same thing specialized is aware of it seems they had a bad batch of selectors changed them out with new ones no more issues

I has this same issue. After a couple of hundred miles from new would not turn on. LBS fitted new wiring loom then they couldnt get it turn off. Turned out to be prob with lights accordng to LBS. Was a Vado SL4.

I've had the bike back a few days now and all looks good again. The problem was moisture in the light connecter that sits in the top tube. I think it got there when the LBS washed it. I think there really should be a seal between the display and the tube to stop this and the electrical connectors need to be better sealed against water.
