2020 Rover Stepthru speedo freezes on a number. This happens after a few miles of riding and doesn't affect performance or odometer. It holds a number like 14.7 mph even when you slow down and speed up. Sometimes as you increase speed it goes up a few mph like 15.2 and then freezes on the new number. Is this problem the controller, hall sensor, or display PCB? Bike has 213 miles of easy use and never wet or wrecked. Anyone have similar experience?

Check the cable connection in front of the head tube, the one with the two metal rotating parts. Sometimes it works loose, especially if you've been hitting terrain or walking the bike up and down stairs.

When my 'Runner gets "stuck" I realize it's in average speed. I seem to fat finger the control (I have an upgrade display) when I turn it on sometimes.

Thanks for the great responses. I did not realize that bike was showing average speed. I called Rad about it first but they just asked for a video instead of knowing it was my ignorance of this feature causing my concern.

Asking for a video is fast becoming a standard response from tech support people - for many different bike manf's. It lets the bike manf's use brain dead front line/1st tier support who are best known for their ability to say hello and apologize profusely because you had to call them. They forward your video for "review" by somebody that has a clue (maybe). Rad is pretty good about this, but sometimes you are forced to wade through some pretty deep BS to get to where you need to be. Frustrating.....

Thats just the simple fact of troubleshooting when you are trying to find a fix to a problem without knowing how.
