2,000 EUR electric car

Interesting vehicles, but considering the way people drive in the U.S., I wouldn’t want to be on the road with them in one of those.

In general, I think it is very reasonable to expect that the cost of electric cars will likely drop precipitously in coming years.

Electric cars have fewer moving parts and their designs are more amenable to being made with fewer labor hours. Also a lot of their very expensive components (e.g. batteries) are also amenable to economies of scale and prices of batteries should rapidly drop over time.

On a related note, while electric cars today are substantially more expensive than ICE vehicles, their maintenance costs and "fuel" costs are tiny by comparison so you'd reasonably expect their per-mile operating costs to be comparable to an ICE car.

true, but we allow people on 50cc scooter.. how is that safer than one of those vehicles lol
It’s not! If you’re driving any small vehicle in the traffic lane you’re taking your chances. 😧

We also allow bicycles, and I doubt that bi-cycle on the road is safer than such a 4-cycle. Majority of streets and roads in the US and Canada don't have bicycle lanes, or the lane is narrow and intersects with roads, still dangerous.
Not everybody loves SUV or big cars. Though prevailing mentality in North America follows this pattern.

If you click on the Yutube link at the bottom of the video, there is a list of parts and sources. It is 4WD indeed :)
