11 speed cassette for my Vionx D 500

Hi.
I have a question regardig cassette for my new Bionx D 500. My bike is a bullitt cargobike currently equipped with shimano XT 2x11 11-42. I intens to install the Bionx kit this weekend. As I do NOT use the lighter gears, I have bought a new cassette shimano 105 11speed 11-28 but it doesnt Seem like the locking ring Can catch the thread on the Bionx wheel. Does any one have experience If a cassette like that is suppose to fit?

I believe the Bionx D500 is 10 speed cassette compatible only. Meaning your Shimano 105 11 speed cassette will not fit. However, Shimano's 11 speed mountain bike cassettes fit on 10 speed hubs. So to get your 11 speeds, you will need to use a Shimano Mountain Bike Cassette. Depending on what derailleur you have, you will have to be careful with the high gear (a short cage shimano road derailleur won't work on a 11x42 mtn cassette).
