1,200 miles later (A7 Pro)

This is an amazing bike. It is so comfortable, and the mid-drive is a lot of fun. 1,200 miles in 4.5 months with a knee surgery as well as bike out of commission (pedal strike bent the crank, so had to be replaced) speaks to my enjoyment.
I've also bought 2 e-mtb's during this time & have about 300 miles combined on those as well. A7 Pro is highly recommended.

I've been a little lazy with less riding on my older model Cobra Pro. Same with also recommending this ebike with zero issues after almost a year of ownership. I did get an error 21 in the LCD about a month ago when I pushing the ebike into the garage after a ride. It cleared when I powered off/on and hasn't returned since.

Have you made any mods to the A7 Pro? I added the larger Cloud-9 saddle, larger MTB pedals, Himiway adjustable handlebar stem, Tannus tire liners, and transferred my Kinect suspension seatpost from my old Radrover over (had to add a shim for the Cobra larger diameter seatpost).

When I purchased mine, I had the LBS install Tannus liners, sono flats over 6 months. I changed to the Cloud 9 seat, but, because the Cloud 9 is thicker, had to change out the dropper post for a standard seat post. The A7 comes with an adjustable stem, but mine has not needed adjustment... an unbelievably comfortable ride.

My cobra pro I also shortened the kick stand by 2" because it was much too long and was hard to keep the bike from falling over. I also noticed a lot of pedal strikes which I never had with my cruiser. I've since purchased shorter cranks but have not installed yet. The Cobra Pro has been a great bike, for about 2 yrs so far.

Had a decent amount of pedal strikes with the A7 Pro, too. The cranks are a little longer, but not something I want to spend the time or energy on to swap out.
Also, coming around to the realization that the Cloud 9 seat is NOT the best solution for longer rides. Once you get over about 15 miles, the Cloud 9 makes me itchy, whereas the skinnier seats on my other e-bikes (5) are all a lot more comfortable on longer range rides.

If you ride often enough your butt will get used to the seat to where you won't even notice it. I used to race road bikes in the 80's-90's and I never even noticed that hard seat. Then around 2000 I didn't ride for 4 yrs and when I got back on the bike in 2004 my butt was killing me...lol

Zero issues with my Cobra Pro. I really like the Tannus liners on the Cobra with zero flats in goathead central in NM in +20 months. I added Tannus liners to my older two Radrover 4" fat tire ebikes. No problem with wearing out gears/sprockets/chain yet. Never really had a need to go above PAS 1 on rides because of all the tq of the motor.

Purchased all the stuff to start waxing my chain; but, haven't tried it yet (Vevor ultra sonic cleaner, ultra sonic cleaning solution, Paraffin wax, slow cooker, PTFE Teflon dry lubricant, bike link tools, bike chain swisher tool).

I probably just got use to the Cloud-9 cruiser seat after +11 years of use. It was too painful with a regular saddle when I hopped back into biking back in 2014 after a 25 year break. Sitting more on my butt cheeks and suspension seatpost seems to work for the wife and I for our type of riding.

I also added the Tannus to mine. I had bought my first bike, the Himi Cruiser in '99 and had goat head attacks right away, the Tannus was the only way to go! (I also live in a desert area in eastern WA). Bought my Cobra Pro in late 2022 to replace the cruiser and it was a great choice for what I needed (hill climbing)..

Also have the Tannus liners on my A7 Pro... no flats (should go knock on wood since I just jinxed myself). Ride on, folks!

Which Himiway adjustable handle bar stem are you referring to? It's not listed as compatible with the A7 Pro.

Sorry for taking so long to respond. I was out of state for a while visiting family. The adjustable stem I found for my 2023 Cobra Pro was on Amazon back in Oct of 2023 for $30 (no longer available). Zero issue since installation.
