    Some LMT'D updates

Same - Gen 1. Front torx, rear allen. All relatively tight and none missing. Retorqued all and got a tiny bit of tightening out of all - but I wouldn’t call any loose.

    Some LMT'D updates

I saw that same FB post and went and checked mine. All 6 screws there - but I’ll be checking to make sure they are tight. Looking at yours, like the image on FB, you can see where the head of the screw once contacted the rotor. So they didn’t just blow off using all 6 screws... they were...

    Some LMT'D updates

Mike - a couple thoughts... 1) On other R1U bikes, the current setting does effect torque supplied by the engine. 2) I’ve read that on the 2nd gen LMT’Ds, you can use the throttle to propel the bike - over 20mph as long as you are peddling. Try it and report back if this was rumor or fact...

    Some LMT'D updates

Mike - question. Have you messed with the current limit? Is it maxed right now? Or does it go higher than 22A?

    Some LMT'D updates

Graham - Welcome aboard. I jumped through a hoop or two to get my LMT'D sorted and have not looked back. Super dependable bike. Has changed the way I get around and has changed where I go... All those places nearby where parking is tough or traffic is a PITA. That's gone. I think it - hop...

    Some LMT'D updates

earnerd - thank you. I measured the distance from my crank at it's lowest point to the ground. 3.5 Inches. Possible that the wide pedal format contributes... a shorter pedal may help? Although - the first I heard of this, it was the crank arm that had made contact... I'm at 320 miles and...

    Some LMT'D updates

Mike - nice work! Did R1Up do anything about the wire/cable entry into the frame? Rubber grommet? Or still just an opening?

    Some LMT'D updates

My pedal crank has 3.5 inches of clearance over the ground. Mike - did R1Up address the cable/frame entry opening? Do they use a grommet there now? Picture? Final note - my "Cone shaped spacer" (as described in R1Up's assembly video) is definitely different that the one yours shipped with...

    Some LMT'D updates

Mike None of the Gen1 LMT’ds came with tools either... Good work getting it to your local bike shop! I’ve seen other FB posts as well that indicate the incorrect split and sleeve rings were shipped - I’d press R1Up to address. As far as the water bottle cage goes. It appears they only shipped...

    Some LMT'D updates

I can't believe FedEx managed to do that much damage... Looks like they actually taped the box up to keep it together. Mine was shipped cross country and had very minor wear/tear in comparison. Unreal. If all you suffered was that fork scratch (charger will get scuffed up in the garage...

    Some LMT'D updates

Mike - fingers crossed they get to you quick! Looking froward to reading your reviews/thoughts here. Great to see some of the people that were asking about the first Gen LMT'd, are finally getting their own!!!

    Review: New LMT'D - new owner's perspective

I have - I'm not sure what the connector type is that's provided on the controller... or how to find the right electrical match...

    Review: New LMT'D - new owner's perspective

Nah - there are no first gen bikes left... Just the last of the second gen with the Cafe bars - probably an order that someone else canceled - but is unshipped. Kevin can confirm this if you ask him: "Is it new, second gen, non-returned, in original packaging?" Don't overthink it - but...

    Review: New LMT'D - new owner's perspective

I find that, with the “riser” style handle bars on my bike, I do lean forward. I wouldn’t call it uncomfortable, but I do find over time I shift my weight around a bit to give my arms and back a break. The step through with risers will likely be a much more comfortable bike...

    Anyone change your kickstand?

I have almost 300 miles on my LMT’d. Earlier in this thread I mentioned I was interested in a chain stay mounted one (note newer LMTDs come with that by default now). I’ll report that the regular old kickstand mount behind the bottom bracket works just fine. No issues. To the prior post - I...

    Review: New LMT'D - new owner's perspective

Over 250 miles so far and yes, my chain has fallen off. Once. I was going about 20 mph and hit a tree root bumped up sidewalk section - HARD - and the chain bounced off. Super extreme. Nothing prior, nothing since. Pretty explainable and I haven't worried about it.

    Review: New LMT'D - new owner's perspective

I saw that 30.9 mm post and didn’t want to risk it. The shim/seatpost combo I used works perfectly. The shim is unnoticeable and the fit was snug.

Nice advice/insight. Where did you source your spare tubes? Have you upgraded your controller? If yes, any thoughts there?
