    Is this tube defective?

I've never seen a tube that looks like this before. It has some air in it. It caught a flat on the side opposite the stem, so it's not holding a lot of air for long. I wonder if it's because of the weird shape. The circumference of the tube at the valve is definitely much narrower than the rest...

    New CCX Pictures

And the final follow up for anyone trying to put a quick-release trunk bag on the back of their Juiced CCX. The Topeak MTX did NOT work. It sat too close to the seat with no remedy from Topeak. HOWEVER, the Ibera PakRak DID work. Out of the box, it too sat too close to the seat, but if you email...

    New CCX Pictures

@KLee: a little follow up for you (et al)... The rack went on just fine without any engineering. I didn't have to bend anything or do anything I would think of as unusual for installing the rack. The only thing...with the geometry of the bike and where the bosses were, I'm not even sure the bag...

    New CCX Pictures

@KLee, so I ordered the rack just to see what measurements with which I was working. Did you think about just bending the rack? It's tubular aluminum and seems like it would bend. Also, need to take off the old rack to check brake clearance, but thinking of sawing off the square pieces welded on...

    New CCX Pictures

Thanks, @KLee. Those nylon nuts are great. Who needs Loctite anymore? I couldn't find that rack hardware kit anywhere. But I'll keep digging.

    New CCX Pictures

Hey, @KLee , I'm looking at a Topeak rack for my CCX. The quick release is what interests me the most. Guessing this is the one you have (or the version with the spring): https://www.topeak.com/us/en/products/mtb-&-700c-touring-racks/146-explorer-(disc)-(w-o-spring)? Also, did you have to...

Update: fixed! (re: Frustrating Juiced experience new CCX)

I had an intermittent power problem with my new CCX. It turned out the retaining nut on the bike side of the battery connector was a touch loose, meaning the connection was just far enough from the battery that it sometimes connected, sometimes didn't. I used a pair of long nose pliers to...

    Safe to "floor it?"

Great. Thanks! I figured direct drive motors don't have much of an impact since it's just a rotor turning. But I wasn't sure with the *geared* motor. I get your point about efficiency though. I figure 3 things on that bike I should take better care of (i.e., expensive to replace): the frame, the...

    Safe to "floor it?"

Thanks. But do you hit the throttle hard? As in pushing the throttle all the way instantly versus gradually? (Sorry I wasn't clear with my question! My bad.)

    Safe to "floor it?"

I have a Juiced CCX that has a 750w geared hub motor with a thumb throttle control. Is it safe to just slam the throttle? There's not really enough resistance to push it very gently, especially over rougher terrain. Will doing that harm the motor or controller in the long run?

Is that @Tora Harris at the 1:10 and 1:32 marks? I'm almost certain it is.

Known Issues & Problems with Juiced Bikes Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

Ugh. JUST received my new CCX today and the battery is definitely loose. If I hold it against the connector (to the right), it powers up fine. But as soon as I let go, the display goes off. Waiting for support to respond to me. UPDATE: After working with support, it turns out the retainer nut...

Hurry up and wait...for my first eBike

Yes. Absolutely a FedEx error. Sorry, didn't mean to imply in any way, shape, or form that it was anyone else's error. It ended up on a truck exiting the LA area unscanned and after putting in a ticket with FedEx, they found it in Connecticut later the same day it was supposed to be delivered in...

Hurry up and wait...for my first eBike

Just a vent post... I got all excited for my first eBike, a Juiced CCX, which was supposed to be delivered today. I even changed a hard-to-get doctor's appointment to make sure I'd be here to sign for it. I just noticed something with the FedEx tracking though. Despite living in Kansas City, MO...
