Hi! I have a 625wh battery that shuts down when using asistance for some time (sometimes only after a few meters). At the beginning is working fine, but when using 2+ assistance level for some time it shuts down. Then it will shut down even using level 1 until you let it rest for some hours...

It is working perfectly. Very nice upgrade without any regrets. Before the mod my chain was lasting only 500-800km, but after the upgrade I decided to use KMC chains and now they are lasting 2000+km Good Luck!

Here in Europe you can get a yamaha pw-x motor new from ebay, but I am not sure if it is a direct replacement for the giant motor even if you change the display...

Yeah, thanks Mike. I don't know where to look at for crashed bikes parts :D My original idea was to sell my pw-x motor when buying a pw-x2 so the upgrade would not be so expensive. This is what I did when upgrading from 500wh to 625wh battery. Cheers!

I have not asked yet but it looks that it will be too expensive to get a new motor from a giant dealer and that they won't be selling a motor for a model it was not designed for. I was expecting to find someone on ebay from a crashed bike or similar at a good price and wonder if it would work or...

Same here... the chain lasts only for about 500km... I think it is because of the weight of the bike. Now I am trying an ebike specific chain that is working much better and longer.

Do you know if the default lights on can be reverted to default lights off? It is very annoying! I used to switch them on 1/100 of rides at night... now I have to switch them off 99/100 of rides at sun!

It is not really a much better climber, because the ratio is more or less the same as the original in the greatest cog. However it is lighter (well ok, this affects climbing xD) and easier to use and mantain. There is a really cheap option to get 1x8 buying only (TOTAL 10€): - motsuv chainring...

Thanks for your answer, however I don't think the light connector of the ncm will provide 48v, it will be in the range of 6-12 ;)

No, if you want the 48t, just move it to the middle position, and enjoy!

I started with that (but using only the middle 38t). I think your best bet is to buy something around 42 or 44 and put it in the middle position. You will go improve weight and will have no rubbing.

Connector for the battery? The Dorado+ case is valid for the ncm moscow (plus), you don't have to choose a connector. You need to specify the connector only for the charger, and that is a DC connector.

I never got to empty the battery on a single ride xD but I have done more than 80km and still one light remaining :D

I tried some maxxis 2.5 and hutchinson 2.4, they did not fit.
