    Radwagon fixes, upgrades, modifications

The rise is only about 1" depending on how the bars are adjusted, but they have about 6" of pullback which will place one in a more upright position.

    Radwagon fixes, upgrades, modifications

I used the 560 bars, and large grips. All will work, the sizes are strictly personal preference, I prefer wide bars and fat grips.

Known Issues & Problems with Rad Power Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

Got about 1200 miles out of 13g Sapim spokes before one broke. Problem is the large diameter of the hub motor combined with a 26" rim puts the spokes at too much of an angle to the rim, preventing them from running straight. The slight kink in the spoke at the nipple flexes under drive and...

RadRover Upgrades - Torque Sensor / Hydraulic Brakes / More

Calipers are all the same standard size, the only difference between disc sizes is the separate adapter mount one would use, both size mounts are included. As the adapters are standard sizes too, one can simply use the existing OE adapters with the new calipers. They come complete with pads...

Anyone put a bigger chainring on their Rover?

The freewheel on my Radwagon was the tightest I've ever removed, the threads appeared to have no grease on them. A long cheater pipe made quick work of it. A possible cheat is to use a bench vice to hold the tool, and use the wheel as the lever. Use plenty of grease when reassembling, you'll...

Anyone put a bigger chainring on their Rover?

That's interesting, other folks have said the DNP tool will fit over the nut. I've been toying with the idea of trying a geared hub, it would be nice to get a definitive answer.

    Rear End Sliding

A torque wrench, and quality axle nuts take care of the problem. http://www.jensonusa.com/Problem-Solvers-Axle-Nuts#brm-search?request_type=search&search_type=keyword&q=problem%20solvers%20axle%20nut&l=problem%20solvers%20axle%20nut

That pesky battery rubber charge port cover.

I just use a tooth pick to poke it into place, only takes a second.

Anyone put a bigger chainring on their Rover?

When I purchased my bike I noticed that the freewheel wasn't lettered Shimano like most in the shop so I enquired, they assured me every freewheel they use is Shimano, and I was able to confirm that when I removed it as they're marked on the back. The tool I linked is the one recommend by...

Anyone put a bigger chainring on their Rover?

Rad power bikes uses standard Shimano freewheels on all their bikes, and my park tool works fine on them. Perhaps you're not aware they can sometimes be a tight fit with a new freewheel, and need a little coaxing? When I retrofitted a Shimano mega range freewheel, I needed to tap it in with a...

Anyone put a bigger chainring on their Rover?

My reference was to contemporary freewheels, and cassettes. There's several obsolete, classic, vintage, and oddball sizes.

Maximum grade to run above 500 watts?

I use PAS 5 on a couple of 20% hills that are only a couple of blocks long, but I'm also pedaling with a fair amount of effort to keep my speed up. I also do a mile long 15% to 18% hill in PAS 4. The 2 key factors are not sustaining the load too long, and sharing the effort. If you'r not sure...

    Radwagon Range?

I think your observations about the battery gauge is correct. I commute 16 miles a day in extremely hilly terrain using PAS 3 to 5, and usually have 2 bars left at rest when I get home. When riding, it drops to 2 bars within my first mile on a 20% hill, but bounces back to 5 bars at the first...

    Recommended Tire Liner?

I have a Radwagon which uses a different tire size than the Rover, and I'm not familiar with tires in that size.

    Recommended Tire Liner?

I think it was a tuffy? It's been years. I don't find fixing a rear flat to be that much of an issue. I don't get many, most can be fixed by patching in place, and I have Gaadi or Cobra straight tubes for replacement without removing the wheel.

    Recommended Tire Liner?

I've heard of them, but have no knowledge as it's not a size I use. Sorry

    Recommended Tire Liner?

I've had better results using tires with built in protection. I have Schwalbe Big Ben Plus tires with 3mm greanguard on my wagon. I've had liners cause flats where the end meets the tube.

RadRover Upgrades - Torque Sensor / Hydraulic Brakes / More

TRP also offers 180mm and 200mm rotors for separate sale. I initially ran them the OE rotors, and they work fine, it's not necessary to change them, the only difference being a higher grade of material. FYI, TRP is Tektro Racing Products Tektro's premium product lineup. They are plug-and-play...
