It’s been a couple of years since I did it but I remember that in addition to creating a UK Apple iTunes account I had to buy a UK iTunes gift card which I then used to purchase the custom modes. Couldn’t live without them!

The Ribble and Orbea bikes are totally different than the Trek, as they are of the “just enough” assist ideology. Which approach is best is a personal choice, but I don’t think it is accurate to call them similar to the Domane +, or any bike with a Bosch Performance Line motor for that matter.

Trek Domane +. If you are into road bikes it is amazing—great ride with it’s carbon frame. I had a Haibike Race for a year and a half and 6000+ miles, and this feels like a Ferrari compared to that—even though they have the exact same engine!

The one I’ve owned for about 2 weeks now—exactly what I have been waiting for!!

There is a setting somewhere to have it automatically reset at the end of each day (it’s been so long since I set it up I don’t remember exactly where it is). That automatically ends your trip that day, and the next day when you turn it on you get a message that it has been reset.

Clearly an assembler defect! I am not sure "my dealer knows best"--as I said even Trek Customer Support didn't know about the sensor. And it amazes me how often even "premier" bikes come with a one-size-fits-all universal bike manual that doesn't even cover the systems unique to the specific...

Thanks so much for your help--photos really clarify things. The bike shop had to replace the seat mast cap with the longer one to fit me, so they obviously had to drill a hole in the new one for the wire. The gasket didn't really fit so I clearly need to jerry-rig something to prevent chafing...

Tegnamo—just so I understand are you saying unscrew the light at the hinge and flip it 180 degrees? Is that how it is supposed to be?

Thanks for the comment about the light—I see what you mean. I have not paid any attention to it since the dealer installed it.

It only has one chainring, the Bosch 20T so equivalent to the large 50T chainring on most road bikes. The assist of course cuts out at 28 mph, but on a flat one can certainly do 30 mph or so if one is strong enough. But the assist will only kick back in when you drop below 28 mph. That said...
